Job Summary

Reporting to the Chief Digital & Information Officer, this role will lead the ongoing development of the Region’s Digital Strategy and track implementation progress, ensuring alignment with the Region’s Strategic Plan, organizational priorities and operational business needs. Through development of a multi-year digital transformation roadmap, this role will provide direction for transformation-focused digital services teams in turning strategy into enterprise-wide results. This highly visible and strategic role will lead a team responsible for the strategy and consistent execution of product management for the Region’s core platforms and strategic applications, the developing business relationship management function and emerging enterprise architecture discipline.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Build a high performing team through modeling behaviors that support the organization’s values, through collaboration and performance coaching while inspiring, motivating and guiding team members.
  • Align digital initiatives with business needs and transformation goals; facilitate the development of strategy and translate to actionable roadmaps.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement by partnering with the Digital Transformation and Digital Operations divisions and stakeholders in the business departments to ensure we are prioritizing the capabilities that deliver the most value to business and product success.
  • Build relationships that lead to digital initiatives that are aligned with business needs.
  • Define, maintain and report on the metrics on progress of achievements aligned with the digital transformation.   
  • Contribute to broader planning by analyzing market trends, feedback and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities and improvements.
  • Contribute to developing digital competencies within the workforce, including digital literacy, customer-centered design and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, inclusion and innovation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, IT or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in IT with a focus on digital transformation, strategic planning
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience, managing cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders.
  • Experience fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, inclusivity, growth, and improvement.
  • Broad knowledge of current and emerging technologies, technology directions and strategic application to business needs, including the ability to differentiate between a relevant trend and hype.
  • Proven track record of innovation, both in internal problem solving and in fostering innovative uses of technology in the organization.
  • The ability to effectively drive business, culture and technology change in a dynamic and complex operating environment.
  • Understanding of enterprise transformation dynamics, including how to integrate technology strategy with business model change, ecosystem collaboration and enterprise-level change programs.
  • Experience working successfully in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Expertise in budget planning and financial management.
