  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • In possession of a Social Insurance Number at time of hire.
  • You have graduated or will graduate with a recognized post-secondary degree or diploma, post-graduate certificate or diploma between January 2024 and June 2025.

Job Summary

This role will  bring new ideas and innovation to projects, working closely with stakeholders to support the design and implementation of a digital-first approach to service delivery. This includes supporting critical on-prem and cloud infrastructure, telephony, data networks, and security. The Project Coordinator Intern will collaborate with a variety of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to assist in the successful delivery of multiple projects on time, on budget, and within scope.


There are two Internship opportunities available, one will report to Manager of Digital Workplace & Technology and one will report to Manager, Technology & IT Operations. 
 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in the successful delivery of projects on time, to budget, and within quality and scope to realize the goals of the Digital Strategy.
  • Support the development of detailed project management documentation such as Project Charters, Project Management Plans, Integrated Project Plans, Process Flows, Use Case Diagrams, and Work Breakdown Structures.
  • Document, report, and escalate variances to plan and suggest a course of action as required, including working with the team to identify, anticipate, and manage project issues and risks, escalating unresolved risks/issues to management.
  • Support multi-disciplinary project teams consisting of subject matter experts from other departments, staff from Regional partner organizations, externally contracted consultants, and vendor representatives.
  • Collaborate with all levels of the organization and project team members to uncover pain points and lessons learned opportunities to accelerate the delivery of new value-added solutions.
  • Assist in contract management and administration with vendors and contractors, including negotiation terms and conditions, contract creation, execution, and effective management and control throughout the project term.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a degree or diploma program at a recognized University or College in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of IT Infrastructure, Azure Cloud, and Office 365 requirements.
  • Familiarity with scheduling and project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or other project management tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate with team members. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of Project Management Agile principles, using Scrum or other Agile Frameworks.
