Job Summary
This position provides support for enterprise and mission‑critical applications with focus on Paramedic Services, including troubleshooting, system upgrades, and documentation. It leads technical implementation for new software solutions and administers key platforms such as the Zoll ePCR system. The role collaborates with internal teams and external partners to ensure reliable system performance and successful project delivery. Rotational 24/7 standby support is required.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides 2nd/3rd level support for enterprise software applications and mission critical systems, including systems upgrade planning and execution, change control, policy and procedure guidance related to technology implementation, hardware sizing, system architecture, software updates, resource utilization monitoring, and capacity planning.
- Administers and support the Zoll Data Systems EMS Electronic Patient Care Records (e PCR) software suite.
- Leads project technical implementation including software acquisition, system planning, development and system integration, hardware sizing, software installation, systems testing, documentation and training.
- Participates in RFP development and solution evaluation, and recommendation, development of user requirements, analysis, design and process, data modeling, and contractor selection.
- Creates and maintains system and support documentation for supported applications.
- Liaises and collaborates with contractors, municipal and provincial partners, and internal stakeholders as required to deliver projects, including the maintenance of both software and hardware components.

Skills & Qualifications
Essential
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science or related field and a minimum of five (5) years of experience working in Information Technology.
- 3 years of experience supporting enterprise applications and mission critical systems in complex technical environments, including providing 2nd/3rd level support with advanced troubleshooting, system analysis, and escalation management.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide clear guidance on policies, procedures, and technical concepts to non technical audiences.
- Strong documentation skills, including creating and maintaining system, support, and process documentation.
Preferred
- Experience working in Paramedics, healthcare, other emergency services or public safety IT environments.
Understanding of data privacy, security standards, and compliance requirements relevant to patient or operational data. - Familiarity with reporting tools such as Crystal Reports, SQL and PowerBI.
- Experience with Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) and mobile communications technologies.
- Experience with Work force management software.
