Job Summary
Reporting into the Supervisor, Plant Maintenance Planning, the position ensures accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement of SAP PM and MM master data in support of maintenance, operations, and asset lifecycle management. This role drives best practices, facilitates change, and enables reliable decision-making within a dynamic, unionized environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead work teams to follow data and information good practices in support of maintenance management, reliability engineering and equipment acquisition.
- Maintain and update SAP PM and MM master data or equivalent products in S/4HANA.
- Ensure equipment and material records are accurate, current, and reflect physical plant tagging OEM and nameplate data.
- Create and update BOMs, kitting lists, and equipment lifecycle plans to support trade execution effectiveness.
- Optimize field validation processes to ensure trade staff effectively and efficiently provide information, so that SAP records match actual equipment configurations.
- Oversee equipment acquisition and disposal, ensuring SAP records reflect asset movement accurately.
- Generate reports for maintenance performance, cost tracking, and KPI, TCA reporting.
- Continuously improve SAP master data, including documentation links, registers, and preventive/predictive maintenance plans.
- Ensure trade and supervisory staff have access to equipment documentation via SAP (e.g., manuals, work instructions, safety standards).
- QC and QA SAP records required for MECP, MOL, and DWQMS.
- Plan and schedule maintenance activities in coordination with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and Vendors.
- Prepare compliance, financial, and reliability analysis reports to support lifecycle decisions and daily management systems.
- Conduct site visits to validate master data accuracy against equipment tags and nameplates.
- Identify opportunities for system enhancements, functionality upgrades, and data optimization.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree along with SAP certification or equivalent training.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience configuring SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) and Materials Management (MM) master data.
- Experience in municipal or manufacturing environments.
- Skilled facilitator and change manager with experience implementing master and transactional data processes in a unionized environment.
- Strong presentation and communication skills; able to promote a vision of excellence and long-term adoption of work practices.
- Hands-on experience working in an S/4HANA environment.
