To be eligible to apply for a co-op student position, you must meet the following criteria:
- Legally entitled to work in Canada as a student.
- In possession of a Social Insurance Number (card) at time of hire.
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary educational institution on a full-time basis and returning to school upon completion of the co-op work term(s).
This position will require the successful incumbent to provide proof of co-op eligibility, a transcript and tax credit form(s) from their school’s co-op department.
Job Summary
The Financial Operations Representative is a great opportunity for students looking to begin their career in Accounting & Finance. This particular position interacts with wide variety of programs within the Organization and provides an opportunity to develop administrative, analytical and communication skills in a supportive and community focused environment. We are looking for an individual who strives for accuracy, has excellent time management skills and is detail oriented.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Enter Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable invoices in the Corporate financial information system (SAP);
- Assist with the distribution of vendor payments;
- Prepare journal entries in SAP;
- Perform financial analysis in Excel;
- Prepare account reconciliations;
- Open and distribute mail for the Finance Department;
- Perform customer service duties;
- Perform related clerical/support duties, such as archiving documents, sorting and filing of documents;
- Assist and support Finance staff as required;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
Essential
- Enrollment in post-secondary Business Administration or related program.
- Accounting background, accurate data entry, strong computer, analytical and communication skills.

- This position will be working on-site at the Halton Regional Centre.
