Job Summary
Reporting to the Asset Advisor, this role is responsible for providing support relating to Regional Assets through the Asset Management State of Good Repair Program
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the Asset Management and State of Good Repair team with daily assignment schedules, procurement processes and SAP entries
- Maintain and update records of Regional assets through Asset Planner and SharePoint
- Ensure all asset-related documentation is accurate and up-to-date
- Maintain Regional assets through building condition assessments and Life Cycle Costing analysis for capital replacement programs
- Liaise with Regional Stakeholders and clients to ensure Project schedules and timelines are maintained
- Assist with Regulatory Compliance
- Track/arrange appropriate staff training in relation to Regulatory Compliance
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
- University or College Diploma in Building Sciences, Architectural Technology / Science, Construction Technology, Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience with administration in a building construction, asset management, maintenance or social housing environment.
- Knowledge of construction and maintenance practices, policies and procedures including contract administration, contract supervision, tendering processes, and project management
- Knowledge of related legislation such as the Ontario Building Code, Ontario Fire Code and the Occupational Health & Safety Act
- Strong oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with diverse staff, clients, public and contractors
- Must have the ability to work within a team environment, take initiative and responsibility.
- Strong problem solving skills and the ability to multi-task
- Proficiency with computer software applications including MS Office Suite, and Computerized Asset Management Systems

- Travel will be required between locations within Halton Region; incumbent must provide their own transportation.
Employment Conditions:
- Current (obtained within the past six (6) months), original and acceptable Criminal Records Check by the first day of employment.
