To be eligible to apply for a summer student position, you must meet the following criteria:
- Legally entitled to work in Canada as a student.
- In possession of a Social Insurance Number (card) at time of hire.
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary educational institution on a full-time basis and returning to school in the fall of 2026.
Duties & Responsibilities
- On-site brush clearing, tree planting and grounds maintenance including power washing and painting.
- Assist with on-site equipment operations, set-up and minor maintenance.
- General deliveries.
- Sample collection for laboratory analyses.
- Assist with program field operations inspections.
- Data input and report generation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
Essential
- Enrolled at a recognized college or university in an Environmental or Agricultural related program.
- Must possess a strong technical aptitude and an interest in gaining experience in municipal wastewater organics management and reuse.
- Experience with computer software including Microsoft computer applications is highly desirable.
- Energetic, well-organized and self-motivated, with a keen interest in learning aspects of municipal operations.

- The majority of daily work will be outdoors.
- Required to operate a Regional vehicle therefore an offer of employment will be made on condition that the candidate provide a copy of their G-Class driver’s license and an acceptable driver’s abstract by their first day of employment.
- Must also have daily access to a private vehicle for occasional work use.
- Must have the ability to lift heavy items and operate grounds maintenance tools and equipment associated with the work.
