Job Summary
As a key contributor to the Region’s Digital Strategy, you will drive real change! You will transform the employee experience at Halton Region by streamlining business processes, and delivering a digitally enriched SAP SuccessFactors (SAP/SF) solution using Employee Central and Talent Management modules. You will serve as the SAP/SF functional expert in the domain of HR and Payroll, throughout the full project life cycle of the SAP/SF transformation (prepare, explore, realize, deploy, run, sustain). You will collaborate closely with experienced SAP/SF consultants, various subject matter experts, and leaders across the Region to achieve extraordinary results!
Reporting to the Manager, SAP Transformation, the Sr Business Systems Analyst is a functional expert in SAP (FICO, Payroll) and SuccessFactors (Employee Central and Talent management). The successful candidate will be the SAP/SF functional lead in the SAP/SF transformation project that will implement SF Employee Central, Time & Attendance, Benefits, Onboarding, and Performance Management modules. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the solution meets business requirements and aligns with the Digital Strategy.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary technical business systems analyst in implementing SF Employee Central, Time & Attendance, Benefits, Onboarding, and Performance Management modules
- Discuss requirements with cross-functional stakeholders, business and technical. Provide input to decision making by senior leadership.
- Work closely with business owners in workshops for current state inventory, process mapping, workflows documentation.
- Participate in design workshops. Provide perspectives on capabilities and gaps.
- Complete and accurately maintain SAP/SF configuration workbooks from design phase to testing phases (Functional Testing and User Acceptance Testing).
- Perform requirements traceability with the project team to ensure test plans are comprehensive and align with Halton’s risk appetite.
- Participate in testing and troubleshoot functionally to help establish alignment with requirements
- Collaborate with the system integration team to ensure configurations and enhancements are documented comprehensively and delivered effectively.
- Support change management initiatives by conducting functional knowledge transfer, including documentation and training sessions.
- Document and evaluate change requests with quantitative needs/impact analysis. Prepare, communicate, and recommend solution options.
- Analyze requirements and propose solutions to enhance business process and systems - Serve as a champion on SAP / SF best practices.
- Collaborate with vendors/contractors as needed.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in SAP HR/Payroll and SuccessFactors HCM modules.
- Experience in configuring at least one SuccessFactors module (Employee Central, Recruiting Management, Onboarding, Performance & Goals, Succession, Learning Management).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies is a plus.
- SAP HCM certified and Canadian Payroll Association Certification.
- Experience with a public sector environment a plus
