Job Summary
The SAP MM/PM Analyst is responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP Materials Management and Plant Maintenance modules to meet business and operational needs. This role focuses on optimizing procurement, inventory, and maintenance processes; maintaining master data; ensuring integration with other SAP modules such as FI/CO; and providing ongoing application support. The position involves close collaboration with concerned parties, technical teams, and vendors to gather requirements, deliver system enhancements, perform testing, support go live activities, and drive continuous improvement in an S/4HANA (RISE) environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Implement and configure SAP MM and PM modules to meet business and operational requirements.
- Analyze existing procurement, inventory and plant maintenance processes and recommend improvements to system design and workflows.
- Support and maintain master data for Procurement processes, Inventory management and Maintenance notifications and orders.
- Ensure seamless integration between MM, PM and other SAP modules (e.g. FI/CO).
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Procurement processes, Inventory management and maintenance notifications and orders.
- Gather business requirements by working closely with concerned parties and translating them into functional specifications.
- Collaborate with technical teams and developers to ensure accurate and efficient implementation of SAP solutions.
- Develop, execute and coordinate system testing and validation activities to ensure data accuracy and system reliability.
- Prepare and maintain system documentation, configuration documents and user guides.
- Coordinate with business users to provide training and ongoing functional support for MM and PM processes.
- Assist with cutover planning, go-live activities and post-implementation support.
- Provide on-going application support, issue resolution and user assistance.
- Participate in project initiatives, enhancements, upgrades and continuous improvement activities.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities
- Transfer knowledge to team members and contribute to knowledge base documentation.
- Liaise with internal teams, vendors and external contractors as required.
- Provide after-hours or on-call support as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education
- Minimum of five years of hands-on experience with Material Management (MM) and Plant Maintenance (PM), preferably in SAP S/4 HANA (RISE) environment. Strong hands-on experience in procurement and sourcing, inventory and warehouse management, Material, vendor and master data management, technical objects (equipment, functional locations), notifications and maintenance orders, preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Demonstrated understanding of end-to-end integration between SAP MM, PM and other modules such as FI/CO.
- Experience analyzing business processes, identifying gaps, and recommending system and workflow improvements. Proven ability to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed functional specifications.
- Experience creating and maintaining Functional Design Documents (FDDs), process documentation and user guides and training materials.
- Strong experience developing and executing test strategies, including Unit testing, regression testing and UAT.
- SAP certification in MM and PM is a strong asset. Working knowledge of ABAP is considered an asset (debugging, functional specifications, coordination with developers).
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
