Job Summary

Reporting to the Supervisor, Resident Applications (Operations), the Systems Analyst will participate in ongoing support, technical implementations, and enhancements of Halton Region's Salesforce system. This includes supporting maintenance and enhancements required in the system for related data integration & interfaced applications. 

This is all done with a steadfast commitment to Halton’s Digital Strategy while upholding Salesforce and industry’s best practices. This ensures Salesforce is always performing at its best, and internally developed applications are operating in a safe and secure manner. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Participate in Salesforce system administration, support and/or project implementation
  • Configure and enhance Salesforce for new requirements
  • Meet with business users to gather and analyze business requirements and provides effort estimate
  • Maintain and support Salesforce system for patches and releases
  • Backup support for co-workers in supporting Salesforce system
  • Prepare project documentation including but not limited to analysis, design, technical specification, user documentation, training material and provides end-user training
  • Lead enhancement project work
  • Manage multiple assignments while concurrently fulfilling on-going application support and maintenance responsibilities
  • Work with internal and external technical resources to implement approved changes
  • Collaborate with other analysts to ensure system and procedural changes have minimum impact on other application areas
  • Provide technical support for ongoing system enhancements and improvements and upgrades

Skills & Qualifications

Essential

  • University Degree in Computer Science or equivalent education
  • Minimum of six (6) years of IT working experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in Salesforce Administration / Development on Health/Service Cloud
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce platform architecture, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, configuration, customization and integration
  • Expertise in programming languages like Apex and JavaScript, as well as frameworks like Lightning Web Components and toolsets like OmniStudio
  • Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot system issues and identify root causes
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with business users, stakeholders, and technical teams
  • Experience with project management methodologies and working with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with data migration and integration processes
  • Understanding of business processes and ability to translate business requirements into system configurations
    Preferred
  • Experience within municipal/government organization is an asset
  • Experience with MuleSoft is an asset
  • Salesforce certifications (Salesforce Admin, Salesforce Platform Developer, Salesforce App Builder, Service Cloud) preferred
  • Siebel knowledge/experience would be an asset
